## Linear Algebra I

In the winter semester 2018/2019, the first year course Linear Algebra I is given by Professor Ghislain Fourier. This course is obligatory for students of the Bachelor's degree programs Mathematics and Mathematics teacher training. It may also be attend by students of the Bachelor's degree program Physics

## Practical Exercises I

In WS 2018/19, the Lehrstuhl B für Mathematik is organizing the Practical Exercises I. The Practical Exercises are supplementing the lectures of the first two semesters an are aimed to support the understanding of the topics dealed with there. The courses is obligatory for students of the Bachelor's degree program Mathematics.

## Group Theory

In the winter semester 2018/2019, the lecture Group Theory will be held by Professor Alice Niemeyer. The lecture may be attended by students of both the Bachelor's and the Master's mathematics degree program.

## Seminar on Group Theory and Algebra

In the winter semester 18/19 professor Niemeyer offers a seminar on group theory and algebra. This seminar is intended for bachelor and masters students.

## Algorithms in Group Theory

This seminar will cover algorithms in the context of Group Theory. We will analyse the mathematical theory needed for solving concrete mathematical problems and will implement algorithms in GAP.

The Lehrstuhl B für Mathematik offers regularly advanced lectures and seminars for Master students.
